Cormack Bequest Meeting, Monday, April 26, 2004
PROGRAMME
Purpose of Meeting: This annual meeting is intended to enable
astronomers and other interested individuals in Scotland to present, and
to see, a broad selection of what is currently going on in Scottish
astronomy. The meeting focuses primarily on research but also
encompasses teaching and Public Understanding work.
Meeting Venue: The 2004 meeting will take place in the Royal Society of
Edinburgh, 22 - 26 George Street, Edinburgh from 10:00am to 4.30pm.
The programme this year will comprise a series of short talks (15
minutes) and posters. Speakers will include the Cormack Undergraduate
and Postgraduate prize winners for 2003. The meeting will be followed
from 5.00 to 6.00 by a specially invited, public lecture, 'Focussing in
the Sky', by Sir Michael Berry, FRS.
