Splinter
Topic Frame: Dust is one of the most active chemical components of our
universe. It plays a vital role in the formation, the evolution and the
destruction of stars and planets, and, hence, initiates the chemical
evolution of the universe on its smallest scales.
The Splinter aims to bring together theory, observation and laboratory
works being jointly applied to studies of dust formation and processing
in stars, disks or planets, their interlinks and their implications for
the chemical evolution of the universe
Splinter Format: The splinter meeting program will contain a limited number of
review talks. Most of the time will be reserved for contributed talks.
There will be no conference publication from the splinter meeting
except an abstract booklet which will be available for all
conference participants. Hence, the splinter provides opportunity for
cross-disciplinary exchange and discussions without follow-up duties.
