GamaCoreDR1_v1.fits (version June 24, 2010) contains the r-band defined main survey catalogue for GAMA. 114441 x 33 Derived from GamCoreMainSurvey_v1. The number of rows are given by the logic: SURVEY_CLASS >= 6 using GamaTiling_v1. This gives an r-selection only (r<19.4 in G09 & G15, r<19.8 in G12). Redshifts that are available but not being released are denoted Z_HELIO= -2. Briefly the DR1 redshift release selection is: G09: Z_DATE< 20090101 & r<19 G12: Z_DATE< 20090101 & (r<19 | (r<19.8 & dec> -0.5 & dec<0.5)) G15: Z_DATE< 20090101 r<19 See Driver et al. 2010 for discussion of the data release selection. For details of the SURVEY_CLASS see IC paper http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2010MNRAS.404...86B The redshifts are obtained by matching to SpecCatalogsv06. Matches are within 1 arcsec except for a few cases. The spectrum with highest Q value is used in case of multiple matches. In case of equal Q, the spectrum with the highest value of PROB - DIST is used (where DIST is the matching distance in arcsec with a minimum of 0.1 arcsec).
